Valentine's Day is right around the corner and you can't seem to figure out the perfect gift to get your significant other.
They have made the decision to be a better and healthier version of themselves. Of course, you want to be supportive and get them something that says, "I love you enough to support your journey!" That usually doesn't involve the super large, heart-shaped box of assorted chocolates, or the few bottles of wine, or really anything that most stores advertise for this special occasion. so what are you going to do? If you're like me, you've been wracking your brain for quite a while on the perfect gift. So... here you go... my list of Valentine's gifts for fit people!
I don’t know about you but I absolutely love my watch for tracking my daily activities. I have a Suunto; if you missed my blog on how outstanding it is, check it out here. While you’re at it, maybe you could upgrade their MyFitnessPal to the Pro option to really get them going!
You can never have enough cool water bottles. TRUST ME! I have so many and am constantly being scolded for how many I have. I prefer the double insolated ones so that the water will stay cold when its hot and humid out. Check out my Hydro Flask.
Is your significant other a yoga fanatic? Why not get them a new mat or maybe a block or strap or bag. I love my cork mat from WodFitters. There are so many options to add to their practice. I personally am hoping to get a Mexican Yoga Blanket to lay under my mat to keep it from getting yucky when I practice outdoors.
Just another thing you can’t have too many of. Shoes are a must and every once in a while they need to be replaced anyway! I love love LOVE my NoBulls. Both my husband and I have multiple pairs and have yet to have any issues with them. They are so sturdy and comfy and their customer service is impeccable!
Does your significant other use supplements; protein powders, BCAAs, pre-workout, vitamins, etc.? Showing them that you pay attention to the things they put in their body is so awesome. Also, it’s nice to just not have to go get it ourselves because it’s been done by someone else!
Recovery is just as important as your workout and what you’re putting in your body. I use a foam roller, a lacrosse ball, Achedaway, and a PowerDot for recovery purposes. The Aches away was a Christmas present and its great! I love to spend some time at time working out the soreness.
If you are looking for more information on massage guns, check out this review. It has some great information on why you should use a massage gun, how they work, cites a few studies, and lists some of the best ones. in the end, I don't think you can go wrong with getting a massage gun for yourself or your loved one. who doesn't want a massage at their disposal?
A new gym bag
Gym bags are another essential to the fitness type. There are so many to choose from but take a look at what your significant other keeps in theirs. Maybe they need a designated shoe pocket, maybe they prefer backpacks to duffles, maybe they want something to be more functional. Here are a few I have used/gotten for my husband in the past. I have really enjoyed each in its own way!
You know, you can never go wrong with a new pair of leggings, shorts, shorts bra, etc. or snoop through their clothes and find out their favorite brand and get them a gift card to there. They can choose their own item and you will learn something new about them. It’s a win win.
There you have it. Did this give you some ideas? Are you going to nail Valentine’s this year?!? Share with us what your favorite gift idea is and how it went for you!
